Christopher Palmberg heads the Developing Markets Platform at Business
Finland to help Finnish companies develop sustainable business and
access global financing in developing markets. His previous responsibilities
include RDI program portfolio management and innovation research for
strategy. Prior to Business Finland he worked as senior policy consultant
and analyst at the OECD in Paris, senior researcher at the Research
Institute of the Finnish Economy and at the Technical Research Centre
of Finland. Christopher Palmberg holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Economics and
Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Business Finland is a Finnish government organisation offering innovation
funding and internationalisation services as well as promoting tourism
and investments in Finland. They function as an accelerator for their
customers to reach global growth. At the intersection of economic growth,
sustainability and competitiveness, Business Finland’s 600 experts work in
40 offices globally and in 16 regional offices around Finland. In 2017 Business
Finland signed funding decisions worth to 4.485 projects. The majority of
the funding was directed to small and medium-sized companies.
